Mrs. Sarah Dyer, wife of Mr. Edward Dyer, died at the family home near Oldrag, of the Infirmities or age Sunday, Jan. 16, 1927, aged 96 years. Mrs. Dyer was Miss Sarah Berry before marriage and practically lived all ner life in the Oldrag neighborhood, where she was born. She was a helpless invalid, confined to her bed for four or five years, and was waited upon and ministered to with conspicuous fidelity and faithfulness by her son, Mr. John Dyer, who has been totally blind for three years. All menial services were performed by him and at the same time doing the cooking for his parents and himself. Mrs. Dyer leaves five sons and one daughter, all of the Oldrag neighborhood, Messrs. George, William, James, Charles and John Dyer and Mrs. Henry Smith. The funeral was held Monday, Jan. 17, and burial was at the home place.
