Survivors include a daughter, Martha Hitt of Washington, Va.; a son, Harvey Hitt of Pent Tobacco, Md.; a foster son, Roy Legg of Culpeper; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Willie R. Singleton of Rixeyville; her husband was the late Walter T. Hitt and parents were the late Rosser and Rosa Hawkins Singleton. Services were held at Clore Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, Feb. 17, 3 p.m., with the Rev. Tom Darling and the Rev. John McQurry officiating. Mrs. Hitt was a member of Gouldvine Baptist Church.
