Catherine Woodard, 73,of 15462 Braggs Comer Rd., Culpeper, departed from this earth chi Thursday, March 27,1997, to go to Heaven to be with Jesus for eternal life. Born on Sept 12,1923, in Culpeper, she was the daughter of the late Silas Henry and Josie Woodaid Hitt. Herhusband was the late Harry C. Woodaid. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Churchin Culpeper County. She is survived by four children, Harry C. Woodard Jr., Charles R. Woodard, Mary E. Gough and Margaret A. Brown, all of Culpeper, six grandchildren Joyce Woodard, Raymond Brown Jr., Charles Woodard Jr. and Sandy Bright, all of Culpeper, Roger Gough Jr. of Orange and Paige Wise of Madison; sevengreat-grandchildren; five sisters Virgie Clatterbuck of Manassas, Isa Scott and Florence Fincham, both of Culpeper, Lorena SettleofCastleton and Louise Smith of Amissville; and abrother Charles Hitt of Castleton. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 1,1997, at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with the Pastor Charles Shifflett and Tim Atkins officiating. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper. Pallbearers were Roger Gough Jr., Raymond Brown Jr., Charles Woodard Jr., Jeff Wise, Jack Bright and Mark Johnson. Honorary pallbearers were Joyce Woodard, Paige Wise, Sandy Bright, MelissaGough, Wendy Woodard and AngieBrown.
